Diablo 4, the long-awaited sequel to Diablo 3, has finally dropped, gracing the libraries of gamers across the world. Expanding on the war-torn world established in the Diablo franchise, Diablo 4 invites players to choose a class and get to work saving the world from the hordes of hell that threaten to ravage its lands. One such class that players can embody in this game is the Druid, a fierce and ruthless class with the magical ability to transform into animals.

As with any RPG, Diablo 4 has an array of consumables for players to use. Some players may not gravitate towards using consumables, but they may benefit from the small XP boost they can give characters. Used strategically, these consumables can come in handy in a variety of different situations.

5 Assault Elixir

For an attack-focused Druid who wants their animalistic attacks to feel even more ravenous and wild, the Assault Elixir may be exactly what they need to get that upper hand on the battlefield. A Weak Assault Elixir increases attack speed by 7% and experience gain by 3% for the next 3 minutes.

This elixir can be crafted with 12 Gallowvine, 6 Lifesbane, and 1000 coins. However, consumables can also be dropped from enemies or looted, so players may opt to just use those instead of spending money to craft their own. The XP boost this elixir provides is definitely worth it, though, so players may choose to craft this consumable purely for that.

4 Healing Potions

Gamers love a good healing potion, and Diablo 4 is no different. There will undoubtedly be moments where those healing potions come in clutch, so most players will want to keep them on their person. The Druid isn't the squishiest class in the game, but they're in the heat of the battle a lot, as their animal forms need to leap into the fray to destroy enemy forces. Healing potions are an extremely useful resource as players may never know when they can come in handy.

These consumables can also be leveled up. As characters start to get stronger, they'll need stronger healing potions. It does mean that the crafting materials and price increase along with the effectiveness of the potion, but it will be worth it for players that find themselves using them a lot. Even players that don't use many healing potions will find themselves using them even for a bit of healing when they want that little boost to their XP.

3 Incense

Incense consumables are especially useful for parties of people. When gamers gather and decide to play some Diablo 4 with their friends, then it's time to whip out the Incense consumables and get to work.

There's a variety of different Incense consumables to craft and collect, all of which do very different things. They'll only really be useful for a group of heroes, so for those playing a Druid with their friends, this is a great thing to have ready to go.

2 Iron Barb Elixirs

These consumables may be some of the most useful in the game. For players that are only using consumables as a way to get a little extra XP, this is the perfect elixir to have on hand. Giving players a 3% experience boost for 30 minutes, this consumable is the best way to ensure gaming sessions are well-rewarded. Characters are limited to only having one of these elixirs active at a time, but even the amount one elixir provides is worth it. As well as increasing XP gain, these consumables also increase Armor and Thorns damage for the 30 minutes. This along with the XP boost make this consumable one of the most universally useful elixirs in-game.

1 Resistance Elixirs

A number of consumables in Diablo 4 grant characters certain resistances. Resistance elixirs vary between fire, poison, lightning, shadow, and cold. In addition to granting some resistance, these consumables also provide a 3% experience boost to characters. All of this lasts for a solid 30 minutes, so this is another great choice for players looking to increase their XP, especially if they know what enemies to expect and what kind of damage they'll be dealing.

The ingredients for each resistance potion are as follows:

Resistance Elixir

Ingredients

Fire

  • 10 Gallowvine
  • 6 Lifesbane
  • 1000 coins

Poison

  • 10 Gallowvine
  • 6 Howler Moss
