There are a ton of secrets in Remnant 2, and the best ones are often hidden behind multiple layers of secrets that force players to find links between two unsuspecting items or locations. Such is the case with the Navigator's Helm, a unique piece of armor that has caught the attention of many people in the player base.
Not only does the Navigator's Helm look cool, but it also counts as a key item needed to access a special part of N'Erud. However, like most things in Remnant 2, players are going to need to be lucky if they want to find both parts of this layered secret.
Remnant 2: How to Get The Navigator's Helm
First, players will want to go to the Eon Vault or Timeless Horizon on N'Erud. These areas can only be accessed after finishing the first progression-related dungeon, which is usually either the Hatchery or the Putrid Domain.
Next, explore the second open-world map and look for the Extraction Hub. Players can easily identify this randomly-spawning world location by its cluster of giant machines that continuously pound the ground beneath them. Tag the nearby checkpoint and look at the center of the craters made by the machine. One should have a hole that players can drop to.
Underneath the Extraction Hub is a network of tunnels filled with dormant N'Erud Zombies. Get rid of all of them and make sure to pick up the items they drop — one of them might have the Navigator's Helm. One of the zombies should be wearing the helmet, and killing it will cause the armor piece to drop. If none of the zombies have it on, then reroll the map and search for the Extraction Hub all over again.
The Navigator's Helm is a medium-weight armor piece with negative resistance against Fire, Blight, and Bleeding. It provides decent protection against Physical damage and Shock and Toxin, but this helmet's true purpose is to unlock the blast doors of a crashed ship on N'Erud. Wear this helmet in front of the blast door's scanner to open it and gain access to the Plasma Cutter Long Gun.
It's unclear if this ship spawns randomly or not, but it's most often seen by the Titan's Reach checkpoint of the Timeless Horizon. It's completely possible for the Navigator's Helm to exist in a world without this ship nor the Timeless Horizon, so players may need to reroll their run several times in order to fully complete this secret.
