  • YouTuber discovers glitch to transfer Diablo 4 Eternal characters into Seasonal Realms, allowing players to bring items and aspects between realms.
  • The transfer is temporary and will only last until the player quits the game, so creating a seasonal character is still necessary for full exploration of new content.
  • Blizzard is likely to patch the glitch soon, so players interested in trying it out should do so while they can, with the possibility of transferred items being reverted once patched.

A YouTuber who specializes in finding and exploiting bugs and glitches has discovered a trick to move Diablo 4 Eternal characters into a Seasonal Realm. Since releasing, Blizzard's latest installment in the action RPG series has certainly had its ups and downs. Diablo 4 has developed a solid player base and is regularly rolling out new content and updates. On the other hand, there have also been complaints about some changes and calls for needed improvements.

Notably, the launch of Season 1 has been somewhat rocky. Blizzard reversed a controversial change with Diablo 4 dungeons quickly, and it has backpedaled, or promised future updates, regarding other issues as well. Of course, one divisive decision that Blizzard seems to be standing firm on is the barring of Eternal characters from Seasonal Realms. Requiring players to create new characters to take part in seasonal content means that players can't bring their already leveled-up characters into Seasonal Realms, which has been a source of frustration for some.

YouTuber Glitch Unlimited has found a way around the restriction on Eternal characters and revealed how to move them into Seasonal Realms. The trick involves joining a party with another character in a Seasonal Realm and then disconnecting the internet. After being disconnected from the game and then rejoining, selecting an Eternal character should have them taken back to their party in the Seasonal Realm. While not everything will be transferable between the Eternal and Seasonal Realm, this glitch can be exploited to move items and aspects between realms when needed.

Because this is a bug, the transfer will only last until the player quits the game. As such, they'll still want to create a Diablo 4 seasonal character if they want to fully explore all the new content without going through this glitch for every play session. Still, this should be useful for anyone that really wants to have a specific weapon or piece of armor for one of their seasonal characters.

Fans that have been frustrated to discover what carries over to Season 1 of Diablo 4 and what doesn't will, no doubt, want to check out this bug while they can. As this isn't intended by Blizzard, the developer is likely to patch the exploit out as soon as it can. Further, there's no telling if transferred items will be sent back to where they belong once patched. Still, some players will surely have fun with this until then.

Blizzard has revealed how many characters have been created for Diablo 4 Season 1, and the number is truly impressive. Now, some of these characters will probably be roaming Sanctuary with items taken from other realms. Fans have been begging Blizzard to fix aspects of the game, but this is one bug that many will likely be staying quiet about.

Diablo 4 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
