The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features over 140 caves scattered across Hyrule's surface for players to discover and explore. These caves are great places to gather helpful materials and discover unique treasures, and are always home to a Bubbulfrog. Defeating the Bubbulfrog and claiming its Bubbul Gem will mark a cave as cleared, indicated by a checkmark atop the cave’s icon on the world map. Bubbul Gems can then be exchanged for exotic rewards.

The Puffer Beach Overhead Cave presents a unique challenge for players looking to access this cave and claim the valuable items inside, specifically the Phantom Helmet. The cave's entrance is easy to spot overhead, with a large cluster of glowing stones on its ceiling. However, to get inside this cave, the player will have to make creative use of Link's abilities. The cave’s entrance is above the ground level, and it cannot be accessed using Ascend. Here’s how players can get into the Puffer Beach Overhead Cave in Tears of the Kingdom.

Near the rockets, equip any shield then select the Fuse ability. Use Fuse to attach a rocket to the equipped shield using ZL. Alternatively, use Ultrahand to bring the rockets over to below the entrance of the overhead cave to attempt a different method of accessing the cave through Fusing to other objects. A Zonai Spring Device will also work to launch the player into the cave, but the player will have to have that device on hand before they arrive. In any case, utilizing a rocket shield is the easiest method of reaching the cave entrance.

Inside The Cave

Within the confines of the cave, two Horroblins are present alongside a handful of mineral veins and two Bomb Flowers. Notably, the blue Horroblin possesses an unusually long fused stick weapon, which players will want to avoid so that they don’t get knocked down and out of the cave. The safest method of dispatching this enemy is to assault him with a Bomb Flower. The resulting blast will force the Horroblin to drop the stick and the player can claim it as their own.
