One Minecraft player has built the Milky Way galaxy in their survival world. Every once in a while, some Minecraft players come up with enormous creations that consist of nothing but texture packs. They put in a staggering amount of work and pay close attention to details to craft blockier versions of famous buildings and other things.

Minecraft gives players unparalleled freedom to build everything from scratch, with in-game tools making it easier to mine larger areas in the game's blocky world. Over the last decade, players have made great use of these engineering tools to build landmarks in the world, including the pyramids, Louvre Museum, and World Trade Center. One fan even created the Earth in Minecraft, setting the community abuzz with the scope of each continent. It's safe to say that Minecraft is beyond being a sandbox game, allowing players to foster a sense of creativity.

In a post submitted to the Minecraft subreddit, user Papaya314 showed an elegant spiral structure they had created based on the Milky Way Galaxy. Terraforming the galaxy took a long time since the player didn't use TNT to clear out large areas. As for the pixel art covering the structure, they resized and converted an image of the Milky Way into blocks using a third-party plugin. Then, the player pasted the image into Minecraft's survival mode and changed its shape from square to circle to create an illusion of a vast cosmic island. It's no doubt this spiral galaxy is a testament to the creative potential of the community.

When asked how long the mining took, the original poster claimed that the entire structure was completed in one and a half years. More than 10,000 Minecraft fans have upvoted the Reddit post, with some claiming that this would be a perfect desktop wallpaper. Some also jokingly said they would legitimately pay for the schematic of the galaxy. It's hard to tell if Papaya314 will build another enormous structure in the future.

The creative mode in Minecraft gives players the ability to obtain infinite resources and float in the air. This is where they can bring their ideas to life without having to worry about mobs. Those who want to take on a real challenge can switch to Minecraft's survival mode, where they must search for resources and protect themselves from nearby threats. As in the creative mode, players can also build astonishing structures, such as giant pyramids and statues, in their survival world.

Minecraft is available to play on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and legacy platforms.
