Blizzard has confirmed several details regarding the next seasonal battle pass in Overwatch 2, revealing that Ana will be the lucky hero to receive the new Mythic-tier skin which is to be introduced in Season 6. The next season for Overwatch 2 is set to be its biggest yet, launching alongside the Invasion update that will kick off the game's PvE mode with three new co-operative missions that will see players battling Null Sector forces in cities around the globe.

Following its reveal during the Xbox showcase in June, Overwatch 2's Invasion update has fostered a fair amount of speculation and excitement for the future of the game, although previous statements announcing the cut features of Overwatch 2's originally ambitious PvE content certainly killed much of the community's hype for the game mode. PvE isn't all the Invasion update has to offer though, with a whole new PvP game mode coming in the form of Flashpoint. Following the pattern established by the game's previous seasons, Season 6 will see the addition of a new 80-tier battle pass that will introduce a plethora of new cosmetic items, including the game's next Mythic skin.

These fully-customizable skins represent the rarest tier of items in Overwatch 2, and have so far only been rolled out for a select few heroes. In an official blog post, Blizzard confirmed that Ana will be the character to receive a new Mythic skin in Season 6, while also revealing that Cassidy and Kiriko will each be getting exclusive, Null Sector-themed skin as well. It seems that the two Legendary skins will not be a part of the season's battle pass, but rather will be available as part of the Ultimate Invasion bundle which includes permanent access to Invasion's PvE story missions, the premium battle pass, 2,000 Overwatch Coins, and 20 free battle pass tier skips. None of the skins have actually been revealed at the time of this writing.

However, some Overwatch 2 fans have actually gotten a look at these new skins already, with Blizzard president Mike Ybarra previously tweeting an image of Overwatch 2: Invasion key art which featured what fans suspect to be the aforementioned skins. This post was quickly deleted presumably due to it being shared prior to the official release of the Overwatch 2 update's trailer, though the image may still be found online.

The several Mythic skins seen in Overwatch 2 so far have gone down well with fans, though only Genji, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Sigma, and Tracer currently have their own Mythic skins. Some talented Overwatch 2 fans have also shared some of their own concepts which prove that Mythic skins still have the potential to be taken further, leaving many players excited to see where Blizzard might take the concept of these cosmetics in the future.

Overwatch 2 is available in early access on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
