A well-known leaker of Atlus-developed games states that there are plans to release Persona 5: The Phantom X outside of China, albeit in a limited capacity. This information comes from MbKKssTBhz5 on Twitter, aka Midori, who had been sharing information about projects in the works at Atlus, such as the development of Persona 6. A lot of this information has been shared through her apparent connections at the developer, with many of the leaks she's released being pretty accurate. She's been correct about games like Persona 3 Reload before its reveal, so there is some credence behind her leaks.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is a mobile and PC spin-off based on Persona 5, developed by Atlus and Perfect World Games. It was announced as a title exclusively for the Chinese gaming market, where players take on the role of Wonder, a new Phantom Thief, as they seek to change the hearts of villains by exploring the Palaces created by them in the Metaverse. The core gameplay loop of Persona 5 has been adapted to a mobile and gaming experience, which some fans want to try out when it releases, though the game currently seems to be officially exclusive to China. However, Midori states that there are some plans to release the game outside the region, though possibly limited to Japan only for the time being.

These plans regarding Phantom X's possible release outside of China were a follow-up to one of her own tweets regarding the game, where she stated that August would be focused on revealing more info about the title. This was accompanied by a tweet that referenced the game's second beta test, where she also confirmed that it would be taking place soon. The tweet under that one states that there are plans for the game to come to Japan first, but it will apparently take "some more time."

In regard to a release internationally in the West, there were some posts she made that indicated that Atlus does have some plans to release it stateside as well. These leaks aren't solid confirmation that the developer is looking to release Persona 5: The Phantom X outside of China, so fans will need to wait for official word from either Atlus or Perfect World Games regarding its possible Western release.

According to Midori, Persona 5: The Phantom X will feature some new characters, with some of these Persona users also being adults instead of high schoolers, an aspect fans had wanted to see more of for a while. One of these users can be seen in the new key art of the beta test's announcement, with Midori teasing that fans will get to know more about them very soon as well.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is currently in development for PC and Mobile devices.
