Genshin Impact fans have noticed an interesting detail about Tartaglia in the Version 4.0 reveal trailer. In Genshin Impact Version 4.0, players will venture into the Fontaine region for the first time, and Tartaglia will finally make his return in the main story.

After nearly three years of teases within Genshin Impact, the Fontaine region will be open for exploration as the Traveler and Paimon's next destination in Version 4.0. The iconic duo will seek out Focalors the Hydro Archon in order to learn more about the Traveler's sibling and the history of Teyvat. Dendro Archon shared several revelations about the Traveler and their sibling during the Sumeru storyline, so Focalors may be another important source of insight in the main story. Fans of playable Fatui Harbinger Tartaglia are also discussing what his return could mean for Fontaine's story.

Genshin Impact player kingerikthesecond notices that Tartaglia appears to be missing his Hydro Vision in the Version 4.0 trailer, and several fans have begun to speculate about the potential implications involving the Fatui Harbinger. Tartaglia appears near the end of the reveal trailer using an Electro Delusion instead of his Hydro Vision. Tartaglia was last seen using the Electro Delusion against the Traveler during the "Enter the Golden House" boss fight in Liyue. Some Genshin Impact fans believe Tartaglia's Hydro Vision may have been taken away or sealed, resulting in the use of the Electro Delusion. Although the Electro Delusion is extremely powerful, its use will greatly drain Tartaglia's vitality.

Since Fontaine is themed after legal systems and the pursuit of justice, some Genshin Impact players believe some areas of Fontaine may restrict Visions in order to promote safety during court proceedings. However, other fans believe Vision restrictions may be used maliciously against the Traveler and Tartaglia in Genshin Impact Version 4.0. HoYoverse didn't share any details about Tartaglia's reappearance, but the activation of the Electro Delusion could imply that a major battle will take place within Fontaine's main city.

HoYoverse appears to be teasing Tartaglia's purpose in the main story while leaving interpretation up to Genshin Impact fans as they wait for the new update. It's unknown whether Tartaglia will be a friend or foe during the teased portion of the main story, but the character's return is surely welcomed by the community.

Fortunately, Genshin Impact fans won't have to wait much longer for Version 4.0 since the update is releasing on August 16. Alongside the exciting main story, Genshin Impact players may look forward to new playable Fontaine characters and more limited-time events.

Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
