With the Siege of Egghead Island having finally begun, all fans are currently looking at One Piece chapter 1090 and hoping for the Egghead Incident to finally kick start. One Piece chapter 1089 was pivotal in delivering a proper setup for what is to come. Not only did fans get to see the reaction to the news about both Luffy and Garp all over the world but, at the same time, the aftermath of the usage of the Motherflame was also revealed.
At the same time, quite a big portion of the chapter focused on the Navy and their siege of Egghead Island, with the chapter finally concluding on Luffy and the group finally making a return, having the situation completely under control. Fans are eagerly waiting in anticipation for One Piece chapter 1090 to continue on Egghead Island and give fans a proper glimpse of what the Egghead Incident entails.
The Flashback
While some fans may not expect it, One Piece chapter 1090 could actually deliver a proper flashback to the fans. One may wonder as to what exactly there is to give a flashback about, but the answer is right in front of them. One Piece chapter 1090 could give fans a flashback that covers whatever happened during the small time jump on Egghead Island. Previously, fans saw all the members of the Straw Hat Pirates engrossed in different tasks. Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji were fighting the Seraphims.
At the same time, Franky and Usopp were petrified. Meanwhile, Nami was with Sanji, while Jinbe was relatively safe as well. Robin and Chopper were the closest to York and figuring the whole situation out at the same time. Sadly, fans did not get to see what exactly transpired on the island afterwards. It is entirely possible that One Piece chapter 1090 will go back into the past and show the fans what exactly happened and how the Straw Hat Pirates took control of the situation. Given that Robin was closest to the laboratory where Vegapunk was held captive, it could be that she was the one who held York and got all the Seraphims to stop fighting.
That would immediately turn the tides of the battle in the favor of the Straw Hat Pirates and help Vegapunk out immensely as well. Shortly afterwards, Stella would then regain control over all the Seraphims and, more importantly, gain control over the frontier dome as well. All the Straw Hats would then stop fighting and S-Snake would unpetrify Usopp and Franky. This is precisely how the situation could have been controlled, however, it could easily have been someone else who stopped York, other than Robin. It must be remembered that Robin was the only Straw Hat missing in the previous chapter and perhaps that has something to do with her stopping York.
The Preparation For War
If One Piece chapter 1090 does have a flashback, it certainly won't be one that spans over the entire chapter. Fans will most certainly see the current events on Egghead Island as well and it is almost certain for Oda to draw the story from the perspective of the Straw Hat Pirates now. The Straw Hats are currently planning on escaping from Egghead Island and delivering Dr. Vegapunk to safety. Their goal is to avoid a large-scale war and, using York as a shield, they can easily escape from Egghead. However, as is often the case, the situation will most likely not go as planned. Given that the Egghead Incident has already been teased to be one of massive significance in the One Piece world, there is going to be a war here, and there will be news that will shock the entire world and shake it down to its very foundation.
For all that to happen, a war here must ensue, and the foundation for that will be laid in One Piece chapter 1090. Fans will most likely see the Straw Hat Pirates get equipped with everything that they want and finally attempt to descend from the island to safety. Perhaps, Vegapunk will know a safer way to escape from the island. Given that he is a genius, he should have a contingency plan in place just in case a situation such as this ever arose.
The Navy Make Their Move
If the Straw Hat Pirates descend from the Sky Island above, then the Frontier Dome will have to be deactivated and if it is deactivated then the Navy is going to make their move in One Piece chapter 1090. Fans are incredibly excited to see them jump into action and engage the Straw Hat Pirates in war. It has been quite a long time since the Navy and the Straw Hats clashed and while fights among the pirates are always special, the Navy brings a completely different feel to it. This is especially true given that fans have not seen much of the Admirals in the story, and even less of the Five Elders.
With the deactivation of the Frontier Dome, fans could see the Navy enter Egghead Island and attempt to destroy it. It must be remembered that Egghead is a place where forbidden study was being conducted and, for that reason, it must be burned to the ground. The only place they have to spare is the laboratory where the reactor to make more Motherflame is.
As such, fans could see the invasion finally begin in One Piece chapter 1090, which would also be exciting for the fans as the big forces will finally clash with each other. With nine powerful Vice Admirals as well as an Admiral and a member of the Five Elders, the Navy have more than enough firepower to take on the Straw Hat Pirates. However, the Yonko crew that everyone is on the estimating right now will step up and show everyone that they are worthy of the title.
Confrontation
One Piece chapter 1090 could finally see the Navy and the Straw Hat Pirates come face to face. While these two groups have not met just yet, they are very well aware of the existence of the other at this point. The Straw Hats now know, thanks to York, that the Navy is right at their gates and that they want to completely destroy them and, at the same time, the Navy and the Five Elders now know that Straw Hat Luffy is alive and kicking, as well as the fact that he has taken all over the entire island, with York being his prisoner. This only means that fans will most likely get to see a confrontation between these two parties very soon.
The Straw Hats have to get out and they cannot stay inside Egghead Island for long. At the same time, the Navy have to get down to business and destroy the place and they cannot remain waiting for long either. All things point to a confrontation between these two forces very soon and fans can only hope that it happens sooner rather than later. One Piece chapter 190 is where every fan's attention is right now and for all the right reasons.
Sadly, Weekly Shonen Jump is going to be on break next week. This means that no manga that runs in the magazine, including One Piece, will be out next Sunday. One Piece chapter 1090 will be out officially on August 20, 2023.
