Find Your Belongings is a side quest in Baldur's Gate 3 that players can initiate by engaging with Mattis, a Tiefling child found in The Hollow (X:248 Y:557). As its name suggests, this quest centers around locating some stolen belongings, and there are several approaches that fans can use to complete it. This guide is here to detail those approaches, and it should make it quite easy for players to resolve Baldur's Gate 3's Find Your Belongings side quest.

To note, Baldur's Gate 3 players are advised to save Arabella, a Tiefling child, before they attempt to complete Find Your Belongings. This is done through a conversation with Kagha, who can be found in the nearby Emerald Grove (entered through a door at X:224 Y:527 by the Sacred Pool). Indeed, while fans that skip this step should still be able to recover their stolen items, they will face an additional skill check or be forced to hand over a reasonable amount of Gold.

Learn About Mol

Upon receiving Find Your Belongings, players can descend the nearby ladder and interact with the Rocky Crevice to get a journal update. CRPG fans can then return to Mattis and ask if they have "taken something" for yet another update, which will point them toward Mol.

Talk to Doni

Due to the small size of the aforementioned Rocky Crevice, most races in BG3 will need to find another way to enter "Mol's office." To do this, players should speak with Doni, a Tiefling child that is just west of Mattis (X:226 Y:550), and select the "turn around to see what has his attention" dialogue option. This selection will cause Doni to slip through some nearby rocks, and a successful Investigation will reveal a concealed entrance.

Players do not need to reload if they fail this Intelligence Check, as they can still reach Mol.

Talk to Doni Again After a Long Rest

After Doni has disappeared, players should take a Long Rest. This will make the Tiefling child reappear, and fans should inquire about to where he disappeared in order to trigger a Wisdom Check. Succeeding on this check will lead to a Persuasion dialogue option, and a successful roll on the resulting Charisma Check will make it possible for players to pass through the Concealed Hatch and enter the Tiefling Hideout.

While failing the final Charisma Check is not particularly problematic, as players can simply bribe Doni with some Gold, failing both the Intelligence and Wisdom Check may prevent the Concealed Hatch from ever being revealed. If that occurs, fans should complete the Investigate the Beach side quest in order to receive a password that can be used to enter the hideout. That quest is initiated by speaking with the Entranced Child to the east of Druid Grove, and their precise position is shown on the following map.

Talk to Mol

Once inside the Tiefling Hideout, players should walk a few paces forward so that they can see Mol on their minimap. Fans of games set in the D&D universe should then wait for Mol to reach the center of the hideout's main chamber and approach her. If a player attempts to engage the Tiefling too quickly, she will exit the hideout, and they will need to leave, reenter, and try again.

In this conversation, fans can select "thought you might need help with something" to receive the Steal the Sacred Idol side quest and then select "I'm shy of a few belongings" to complete the Find Your Belongings side quest in Baldur's Gate 3. Fans are then free to open the Pickpocket's Bag, which will now be in their inventory, to reclaim their stolen items.

Baldur’s Gate 3 releases on August 3 for PC and September 6 for PS5. An Xbox Series X/S version is in development.
