Gamers who chose to play a Wizard can cast a spell for the first check while other classes can either use the Arcane or Strength skills to get the lock off. After that is a difficult Religion check. If players set the book down in between checks, they can not try again.

Knowing this, those who play with friends should choose the party member with the highest Religion skill to attempt the sequence. Succeeding on the first check yields a Ray of Enfeeblement scroll as a reward.
