When players first get inside Druid Grove in Baldur's Gate 3, they'll discover quickly that the elevator is out of order. After pulling the handle near where players got to befriend Timber the Squirrel, the mechanism fails to budge or function. At first, this may seem like a safety measure for the Sacred Pool down below.
But the truth is much less intentional than that. Baldur's Gate 3 does offer a way for players to get the elevator working for a quicker travel time to the Sacred Pool but it requires making a visit to the bottom of the elevator to fix the issue.

How To Fix The Elevator In Druid Grove
- Speak to Tuffet at the base of the elevator.
- Pass an Animal Handling check.
- Use the lever.
The simplest way will cost no spell slots, allow players to keep a fish for supplies, and stay on good terms with the Druids. It just requires making Tuffet, a large Bear who is sleeping on the elevator, move over before falling back asleep. Change party members and use the character with the highest Animal Handling skill to complete this interaction. Afterward, pulling the lever at either the top or the bottom will cause the elevator to work as normal.
Alternatively, players can kill Tuffet, loot a nearby fish and toss it next to the elevator, or cast Speak with Animals and ask Tuffet to move. Some teammates might not like murdering a member of the Druids, so be sure to ask everybody if they're alright with this outcome when playing with friends.
