There are a great many secrets to be discovered in Gunfire Games' Remnant 2, from special items to entire character classes. Aside from the four starting classes in the game, the gaming community has uncovered a number of additional Archetypes that can be used to complement existing classes or as a primary loadout to embark on the story again.

Of the secret classes available to uncover in Remnant 2, the Invader Archetype boasts a range of skills that benefit players who enjoy a mobile and evasive playing style. Given the mechanics of the game, which favors dodging as one of the primary tools for defense, this Archetype can take players to the next level of damage avoidance. This is everything players need to know to unlock the Invader Archetype.

How To Unlock The Invader Archetype

In order to unlock the Invader character, players will first need to acquire the Dreamcatcher melee weapon, which can be found in Morrow Parish in Losomn. Once this is equipped, players will need to progress through a significant amount of the Remnant 2 main storyline until they reach Root Earth, in particular the Corrupted Harbor.

At the Corrupted Harbor, players will need to work their way down the huge ship into the basement area, where they will eventually find a wide open space. In the middle of this space is a pod, which resembles a dead tree stump. This pod contains the Escalation Protocol Amulet, a very powerful item that will strengthen almost any class. However, in the context of the Invader Archetype, players will want to store this and return their attention to the pod. Using the Dreamcatcher, players will be able to extract an item called Walker's Dream from the pod, which they can use to teleport to another area.

The Walker's Dream is a single-use consumable, so all that is required is for players to equip and use the item to be relocated. The item will take players to an alternative area where they will encounter a summoning boss named Bane. While the boss itself is not a major threat, much like the Root Nexus on Yaesha, its powers lie in its ability to summon allies to join the fight. Once Bane is downed, players can collect the special item for the Invader Archetype, the Wooden Shiv. It is worth noting that if players are unsuccessful in defeating Bane, they can acquire another Walker's Dream by using the Dreamcatcher on the pod again.

With the Wooden Shiv in hand, head back to Ward 13 and visit Wallace to convert the special item into the Archetypal Engram, which for the Invader is the Root Blade. Once the transaction is completed, the Invader will be available as a new primary Archetype or as a boosting secondary Archetype.
