The Council Chamber is a Dungeon in Remnant 2 that has a chance to appear in the world of Losomn. As players work through this map, they will meet the Fae Council, and there are several ways in which they can address this encounter. This guide is here to provide full details on how those options can be pursued, and it also contains information on the various secrets and puzzles that can appear in Remnant 2's Council Chamber.

Remnant 2: Council Chamber Walkthrough

The Fae Council event that is at the center of the Council Chamber dungeon requires players to accuse one of the Council members of assisting Remnant 2's Imposter. There are essentially two ways in which this can be approached, and the reward that players will receive at the end is contingent upon which option they pursue:

Accuse the Correct Member with Evidence

Players that want to satisfactorily accuse the correct council member will need to do so with evidence. To obtain that evidence, Soulslike fans should search the Council Chamber map for a black mirror, which will transport them to the Council Tribunal. On this map, players will find a room that is very much like the room in which they encountered the Fae Council, and they will need to solve a puzzle that is within it.

To solve this Remnant 2 puzzle, players should walk across the glass to approach the bases of the council members' seats, which have keys embedded into them. Fans should interact with those keys to collect them and then look through the glass floor at seats on the other side. Those inaccessible seats will still have their keys, and players should simply replace the keys in the Council Tribunal seats so that they match their counterparts.

A large door behind the seats will open as soon as players place the final key, and they should pass through it to reach the petrified One True King. Fans of dark action RPGs must now climb up the sides of this body and do a bit of platforming to reach the back of its head. Players can then extract the Assassin's Dagger from the One True King, and this item both serves as evidence and reveals the sigil of the guilty council member (which can be seen by examining the Dagger and looking at the end of its hilt).

With the identity of the guilty member revealed and the evidence in-hand, players can return to the Fae Council in the Council Chamber. Fans can then accuse the correct member and hand over the Assassin's Dagger evidence to complete the quest and earn the Ornate Blade melee weapon in Remnant 2.

Accuse the Wrong Member or Refuse to Provide Evidence

Any approach that is not the one that has just been detailed will lead to a fight with the council. Players that come out of this battle victorious will complete the quest and receive the Fae Protector Signet, a ring that increases Max Health by 10 and reduces Encumbrance by 5.

Remnant 2: Council Chamber Secrets & Puzzles

There are a handful of secrets and puzzles that players may encounter in the Council Chamber, and they are detailed below. That said, it is important emphasize that these events will not always appear in this Remnant 2 dungeon, and they even have a chance to appear on other maps on Losomn.

Fae Statues & Plain Ribbon

Players may find Remnant 2's Plain Ribbon on a corpse within the Council Chamber, which is to be placed upon a statue of two Faes holding hands. After performing that action, fans should leave the dungeon, reenter it, and then return to the statue to claim the Golden Ribbon, an amulet that increase Mod damage and grants haste when a Mod is used.

Secret Room

The Council Chamber occasionally features a large room with a statue on a raised platform and paintings on the walls. There is a painting propped against the wall on the right side of this room, and destroying it will reveal a hidden path that leads to the Executioner. Defeating this Remnant 2 boss awards the Steadfast Mutator (prevents melee attacks from being interrupted and provides 10% damage reduction), and players can pick up the Ornate Flail melee weapon and Sapphire Dreamstone ring as they work their way out of his lair.

Torch Flame Puzzle

This puzzle features two sets of five torches, and the goal is to make their flames the same color, either all blue or all white. The important thing to understand here is that shooting a torch will not only cause it to switch its color, the adjacent torches will switch as well.

With respect to what players will earn for solving this puzzle, turning all the torches blue will yield the Black Pawn Stamp ring, which reduces Cooldowns of Skills by 10%. And turning all the torches white will yield the White Pawn Stamp ring, which reduces Mod Power requirements by 10%.

Remnant 2 is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
