There are tons of secrets hidden in Remnant 2, and many of them involve traversing between two different yet related areas. Players who have been exploring Losomn may have encountered the Lemark District, a particularly devastated part of the Dran city where an old clockmaker's workshop can be found. It may seem insignificant at first, but it actually ties into one of Losomn's grander landmarks: the Hewdas Clock Tower.

Remnant 2 players may be disappointed when they find that scaling the clock tower doesn't give them the reward they expect. This is because the Lemark District and the Hewdas Clock are closely related to each other, and one is needed to fully unlock the other.

The Hewdas Clock in Remnant 2

Inside the clockmaker's workshop, players can interact with one of the clocks on the table. Touching it will display the clock's face on the screen, where players can move the individual arms around manually.

The secret to this puzzle lies in the Hewdas Clock, which can appear in the Morrow Parish, Brocwythe Quarter, or Forsaken Quarter. Look at the clock from afar (preferably with a scope) and check the time. Then, go back to the Lemark District and input the same time from the giant clock to the little clock in the workshop. This might be different for each playthrough, so make sure to double-check.

The correct clock configuration in Remnant 2's Lemark District

It's hard to tell exactly what the time pictured above reads as the Dran clocks have only eight hours with four minute-notches between each hour. If the position of the minute hand on the Hewdas Clock is too vague, then simply spam the Confirm button while moving the hand around until the puzzle is solved.

Completing this will give players a quest item, which means the clock tower district puzzle isn't done yet. To reap the real reward of this challenge, players need to scale the Hewdas Clock Tower and reach the very top. Go to the base of the tower and mantle over the ledges leading to the upper floors. Be careful of the Winged Fae disguised as stone gargoyles, as they can throw players off the ledge and send them plummeting to their deaths.

After reaching the top, power the tower up by flipping the lever near the elevator. Then, crank the wheel to spur the Hewdas Clock back to life. Doing so will cause the item outside to drop by the hole in the wall. This item is the Broken Timepiece, a material that can be given to McCabe to get the enemy-freezing Time Lapse mod.

Remnant 2 is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
