Corrupted Lumenite Crystals is a new resource introduced in Remnant 2 that players will want to stock up on. This upgrade material is needed to improve the many Mutators that have since replaced armor set effects, making these incredibly important when it comes to late-game progression.

Unlike regular Lumenite Crystals, these corrupted ones are much harder to acquire, and that's because they only drop from very specific enemy types in Remnant 2. Thankfully, there are some ways to make Corrupted Lumenite Farming a little less tedious than it has to be.

How to Farm Corrupted Lumenite Crystals in Remnant 2

Corrupted Lumenite Crystals in Remnant 2

First, Corrupted Lumenite Crystals only drop from Corrupted mini-bosses that players may run into in certain areas. Apart from the obvious boss health bar that appears on top of the screen, players can tell if an enemy is Corrupted by the red glitch effects surrounding them.

Corrupted enemies are often found in secret rooms. One good example of such an area is the gilded statue room that may occasionally appear in Losomn's Fae Castle maps (such as the Council Chambers)—break the painting, drop down the hole, and follow the tunnels to eventually meet the Executioner mini-boss in the flooded stockroom.

Another more obvious Corrupted boss location is in the front yard of the Morrow Parish. Every time a new campaign or adventure is rolled here, the Ripsaw mini-boss will always spawn in the shed in the asylum's front yard. Getting there may take a while, though, but it's a small price to pay for a guaranteed Corrupted Lumenite Crystal farm.

As of the launch version of Remnant 2, players can actually skip Morrow Parish's open map segment by abusing a community-discovered glitch. Have a friend use the High Five emote in front of the asylum's locked gate, then interact with them. The high-five animation will clip one player through the gate. From here, the player on the other side needs to use the emote perpendicular to the gate—this will allow the other player to clip through the gate as well, allowing both of them to fight Ripsaw together.

Players will need a lot of Corrupted Lumenite Crystals in order to get a Mutator upgraded to +10. Fully upgrading one not only maxes out its innate passive bonus, but it unlocks a latent one that provides a separate (and often much stronger) bonus. The Twisting Wounds Mutator, for example, makes every Weakspot and Critical Hit apply Bleed.

Remnant 2 is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
