For those who have progressed through the first world of the story and have made it to the stony landscape of the Labyrinth, there are a few great discoveries to be made to give players an early advantage. One of these is the Enigma Handgun, which fires lightning projectiles and can effectively cause damage to multiple foes due to its ability to chain damage to hostiles within proximity to one another. For those looking to get their Remnant 2 campaign off to a powerful start, here is how to find the Enigma Handgun.

What Is The Enigma Handgun?

The Enigma Handgun from Remnant 2

The Enigma Handgun is a stone firearm that shoots lightning projectiles, capable of chaining damage between foes. It is effective for dealing with crowds on account of its ability to jump to other targets within 7.9 meters of the target, dealing damage at a 30% loss to the intended victim.

The weapon comes with a mod called Chaos Driver, which drives electrified rods that tether to other rods within 10 meters. The Enigma will also deal between 20 and 50 shock damage per second, making this particularly devastating on clusters of lesser enemies and making it far easier for players to clear out crowds in quick succession.

The main component of the Enigma that gives it its stone body is the Cipher Rod, which can be found while exploring the Labyrinth. For those who are new to Remnant 2, players will be transported to the Labyrinth shortly after defeating their first world boss.

How To Get The Cipher Rod

The Cipher Rod is found more easily once the Labyrinth has been explored and its many closed doors have been unlocked. However, it will be easy to encounter once players overcome some of the challenges within the stone world.

The biggest trick to acquiring this item is understanding that the portal players must jump through, unlike the others in Labyrinth, will cycle through various locations on the map, so timing is key. The portal will jump to five different locations within Labyrinth, so it is important to choose the right one, as some will take players to other locations, and the wrong one (with the stone wall) will end up killing their character.

The correct portal will appear mostly blank except for the stone platform and the movement lines, but make sure not to confuse this with the one that looks similar with lots of floating stones. Once the correct portal appears, count to three and jump through. At first, it will seem like the player is falling to their death, but a stone platform will materialize for their character to land on. For further guidance on how to time the jump, the video above will provide a visual aid to getting the jump just right.

Once they have reached the stone platform, players will need to defeat two elite stone enemies. Once they are dispatched, the Cipher Rod will be found on the opposite end of the square, underneath the statue.

Where The Enigma Handgun Can Be Bought

Once all the necessary materials have been acquired, players will be able to purchase the Enigma in McCabe's shop in Ward 13. She can be found in the back of the warehouse, next to the shooting range and alongside Rigs and his weapon upgrade shop.

In order to purchase this weapon, players will need the Cipher Rod along with seven Lumenite Crystals, which are dropped by elite enemies, and 1,000 Scrap, which can be found almost anywhere. For those who have yet to acquire a Boss Weapon, this purchase will earn players the Boss'n Up trophy/achievement for crafting a Boss Weapon.

Remnant 2 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
