DIablo 4's transition into an open-world style of game saw the introduction of a plethora of side quests for players to complete. Some of these involve simple fetch or kill objectives, while others lead to parts of Sanctuary that hold far more interesting stories. The Salt Begets Salt quest features a little bit of both.

This Diablo 4 side quest will have players looking for a whole animal instead of some arbitrary trinket or missing person, but that's easier said than done considering where the said animal is supposedly hiding.

How to Find Tuji in the Salt Begets Salt Quest

Where to find Tuji the goat in Diablo 4

The quest begins at Jirandai in the Dry Steppes' Untamed Scarps region. Jargal, one of the NPCs in the camp, asks players to find their pet goat named Tuji, who has been whisked away by a scoundrel named Gan to the ruins of Qara Yisu far to the east.

Unfortunately, Qara Yisu is infested with demons. If it's their first time visiting the place, players may have to fight through a horde of Vile Ones and the cursed Qara Yisuni villagers inside the Stronghold as they try to search for the missing goat. The village doesn't have to be cleared, but it certainly helps make the search easier.

The goat can be found near a pile of rubble in a ruined structure. Right next to it is Gan's corpse, which has been turned into solidified salt as a result of the demon that attacked Qara Yisuni. Pick the goat up and deliver the seemingly sad news to Jargal back at Jirandai.

Giving Tuji back to Jargal will give players the usual host of side quest rewards: some Gold, a dash of EXP, and a cache of useful crafting materials for improving weapons and armor. Completion of this side quest also grants +20 Renown, which players need in order to unlock region-related upgrades like more max potion capacity, additional skill points, and extra Paragon points for endgame characters.

Also, clearing out Qara Yisu is highly recommended. Not only will clearing the Stronghold give even more Renown, but it will also unlock an extra outpost in the middle of the Dry Steppes, which will make getting around the region easier. Once liberated, the safe zone will have a blacksmith and armor vendor where players can repair their gear or dump unwanted items.

Additionally, Qara Yisu houses the Shifting City dungeon, which contains one of the best Resource Aspects for the Rogue: Ravenous.

Diablo 4 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
