  1. Enter the menu (pause on keyboards, view button on controllers).
  2. Choose the 'Game' tab.
  3. Select the 'Leave Game' button.
  4. Choose the 'Create New Character' button or select a different existing character.

This is going to be an unsatisfying answer for many gamers who are used to the system in Diablo Immortal that allowed them to change character classes and keep all their levels. The direction Diablo 4 has taken returns back to the normal method of each character class being unique to the player.

Fans of the game likely won't mind as having multiple characters in Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 was part of the fun. It's not too difficult to hit the maximum level.
